how to deal with toxic coworker? everybody hate him, he hates everybody, but this piece of shit is only backend guy here. and I need to create tasks for him. so cant really ignore.

Maybe don't bring your own baggage to the table?

It could be being the only backend developer he's stressed and unhappy. Try being friendly and reaching out to him.

See if there's a common ground to help each other out.

If that fails. Ignore and create your tasks for him.

Tamper with his brakes and test out the "what if X was hit by a bus tomorrow.." scare tactic we have always been told.

Or just deal with it like you deal with the common asshole you usually run into in workplaces.
