If you look at events in the terms of "exposure of crimes" it makes a little more sense. You have to remember, most people don't have a clue. Some people have to be shown. Imagine being in a comfy womb and the trauma of being born. It will be like that for many people.
-
Look around you. Does this society look healthy with the presence of wokeness everywhere? If your answer is yes, I don’t know what to tell you.
-
Jedidja10142ything is I don't know what you mean by anti-wokeness exactly.
A friend of me gets upset about which specific gender or skin color a character in a game has and I find that one of the more unneccessary ways of being sad.
I hope you're not that kind of anti-woke memers -
My issue with it is the fact that it has created an environment where people are pitted against each other and forced into celebrating in the workplace various ideologies they don’t exactly oppose on the face of it for tolerance sake but about which they’re told they’re bigots worthy of being fired if they don’t donate money or don costumes or do activities they aren’t really interested in.
And the whole “struggle session” nonsense of being forced to confess your alleged “racism” (or other -isms) just because you happen to be straight/cis/hetero/judeochristian/white (or, now, Asian and even “white Hispanic”?) even though you don’t have a racist or other -ist bone in your body…that’s just straight up nonsense.
Corporations have turned all of it into a huge, cynical money grab. They don’t actually care about diversity and inclusion after the point at which it doesn’t help them make more money for themselves. It’s just another marketing opportunity. -
jeeper59682y@stackodev you sound like someone who has never had anything really bad happen to them
-
jeeper59682y@stackodev or more specifically, you see the equality part of woke culture as such a threat to your place of privilege, you’ve retreated inward and doubled down on neo-conservative positions. losing that dominance and actually having to stand with your merit, that is the scariest thing you can imagine. So you reduce an entire movement about racial justice, sexual liberation, removal of oppression, the restructuring of society in a more egalitarian way, you just equate that to corporations doing rainbow logos or sexy mms or whatever the bs of the moment is, and you say well the woke culture likes it. Well yea because the alternative was being completely fucking excluded from the conversion.
The main stream wanted to pretend LGBTQ+ people didn’t exits before like 2010. Instead of logos for pride month and cultural insensitivity training we got fucking fired and discriminated against for shit strait people talked about or did all the time. There was and to a large extent still is an inability to separate someone who isn’t cis and straight from being a sexual object. It’s gross and telling.
So fuck corporate greed in general & especially when companies only do pride shit in areas it’s celebrated, and fuck weird band writing that forces inclusivity which inherently undermines the point of inclusion, and fuck there are a lot of out of touch prowoke elites but at least they can be. Think that anti woke elites have even less reason to give a shit about you and your happiness.
I didn’t even get into race but honestly just whatever struggle you do have, just multiply it if you are not white. You now instantly get stereotypes assumed about you based on whatever race you imagine.
So fuck all that fake shit but an even bigger fuck you to anybody trying to stop people fighting to restructure a factually broken and fucked patriarchal system that is hurting you too unless you are literally worth over like 10m dollars. If you look closer you would see -
@jeeper Oh, wow! It’s like you know me so much from following me around, knowing all the people I know, experiencing all my personal hardships, listening to all my conversations, reading all the things I read, listening to all the things I listen to, and interpreting all my thoughts! Are you living in my attic? Or are you just regurgitating talking points and the straw man you’re making of me is just living in your head rent free?
Get off your high horse and realize that there is more than one way to promote and establish equality. One that maybe doesn’t end with multi-billion dollar multi-city riots that destroy more black-owned businesses than white ones, cutting the genitalia and mammary glands off of perfectly healthy children, giving them ungodly amounts of cross-sex hormones, pumping them full of drugs made for chemically castrating sex criminals, and destroying more things than you build. -
jeeper59682y@stackodev real talk look up F.D. Signifier on YouTube if you want to expand your mind. He explains all this better than I can.
-
@jeeper Bold of you to assume I watch Fox News. I don’t watch any cable or network news. I don’t subscribe to cable TV and since the switch to digital network broadcast TV, i haven’t yet found an antenna that will work well for it.
Not that I need to depend on “journalists” to do all my work for me. I do have two eyes and two ears to see and hear what’s going on around me. And I have a brain that my parents taught me to use for critical thinking. The talking heads don’t rule my life like they seem to rule yours. Go touch grass. -
jeeper59682y@stackodev you said “Bold of you to assume” 😂😂 and while regurgitating the top Tucky C points 😂😅 ohh hell. Total coincidence for sure! There’s no online bs to media bs pipeline! Conservatives so funny. Don’t tell me…not conservative…libertarian 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🥲
And you got your ideas from your parents. Nice.
Seriously, watch FD’s video about criticizing Obama. It’s common ground, both sides have critiques of Obama.
Maybe it can chip away at the massive wall of propaganda you’ve built up, and you can start to see why anti woke culture, reactionary culture in general is both funny and dangerous. It’s funny because the reactionaries think that this is about them, and it’s dangerous because with every movement, reactionaries have killed people for wanting rights. Slavery, suffrage, the Coal Wars, civil rights, gay rights, and trans rights, just to name a few.
It’s always one side “could we perhaps be treated a little more fairly” the reactionaries: “na we would rather you die, and we would also generally rather die than see that. Mostly because it lessens the economic and societal distance between groups, even if it doesn’t not bring us down”
Anyways, yea corporate culture sucks woke or otherwise. But take a good long look at what you are actually opposing and read/listen what the other side has to say, not what you think a hypothetical person on the other side has to say. -
jeeper59682y@stackodev ah I’m guessing that’s what you say to all the minorities, poors, and other undesirables who challenge your main character syndrome slightly. 😂🙃
-
@jeeper Yup. Totally. I’m a regular gun-totin’, rootin’ tootin’, sheet-and-hood-wearing lynching machine!
No desire to work hard or learn new coding stuff. This world is so messed up now that I have a difficult time caring about anything anymore. I spend a lot of time browsing for and posting anti-wokeness and pro-libertarian memes and watching the world burn down around me under the illusion that it’s being “saved” and “improved” by monopolistic authoritarian governments and technocracy. All that’s really happening is a handful of really powerful people are pissing on our heads and telling us it’s raining. Invest in umbrella manufacturers.
