@red-knot I didn't say it was bad, i can just see it leading to sites using another way to shove bullshit through to the user.

@C0D4 web notifications are being used for this purpose, as in other browsers, including desktop Safari, they work for several years already. If a thing can be used to serve unsolicited BS, it will. That’s not an excuse to halt web standards development and adoption.
