That's a good question.
I guess that's because as a society we collectively know the police (enforcer of state violent) and landlords (owners of property) indeed have such power. We don't need to acknowledge it. It is there.
On Facebook, we know we are dealing with another person who is not endorsed by the state or money--a peer--at the other end. That they *can* do things to us (not even us, just our words) needs to be established by verbal acknowledgement from time to time.
Don't we all love a sophisticated chat bot?

...then why would you say to a Facebook Group Admin "Please delete if not allowed"?
