Are you sure you hear the cpu and not some bad part?

I've had chargers that make sounds for example.

@juzles it wasn't charging and it changed patterns going from locked to unlocked

They often make noice

@juzles could be part of it, I could hear a clicking noise but also a high frequency noise that changed pitch every now and then
