I'm wondering to what kind of job positions you are applying and what are your qualifications.
Are you applying to random positions that you lack experience on purpose, just to make it to 1000? -
b2plane64042y@WildOrangutan im applying only to java (spring boot) backend engineer positions right now because this is the only field im the most experienced in.
Of course i know plenty of other fields -
b2plane64042y@WildOrangutan also, i have a computer science degree, NO MATTER IF I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A FIELD, SHOULDNT THE DEGREE GET ME HIRED? NO ONE ASKS OR CARES ABOUT MY DEGREE. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF MY USELESS DEGREE? SHIT IS MORE VALUABLE THAN A DEGREE
-
b2plane64042y@WildOrangutan i truly want to get a job. Its not like i have nothing better to do than to sit around and purposely get rejected 1000 times. I get rejected and low balled so often that i got pissed off snd decided to start this journey to see IF i can get rejected 1000 times in a row or can i get hired JUST ONCE, ANYWHERE.
-
Sorry, but I still can't judge, if you're applying to jobs you're actually qualified for.
Degree without experience should only get you hired, if company is looking for a junior dev.
It takes effort and money to train a junior dev and some companies don't want to deal with that. And even if they can, they can only hire a limited amount of juniors. It's a sad truth. -
b2plane64042y@WildOrangutan she replied this. So the only reason i cant get hired is because i havent worked for over 3 years in a row in some company? Ok so what's stopping me from lying on my resume and linkedin, putting tons of years of experience working in companies i set?
-
Are you seriously complaining that you got rejected by companies 5 times?
Bro, calm down. That's a rookie number.
I got rejected like what 30 times?
I still got a job in the end.
Have patience and keep trying -
b2plane64042y@ars1 7+ in total. But they said "professional" experience which means i have to work a job in company for those 3+ years
-
b2plane64042y@ostream i literally got rejected because theoretical knowledge is my weaker side, although i demonstrated successfully building the whole ass project CRUD saas
-
Honestly, if I were an employer, and I saw you calling my company out on social media for not hiring you, I would blacklist you. That is why I suggested blocking out their names. Those companies will talk amongst themselves. Those communities are not closed. Word will get around. You will gain a reputation that will make you un-hireable.
A degree is often a minimum requirement. I often see jobs that require a degree plus X years of experience. Some jobs will say degree+5 years exp OR 10 years exp. Companies have the option to require experience right now because so many people have gotten laid off. Check out jobs listed near college towns or are targeting college applicants. That is how I found my current job when I switched to a full time developer job. Maybe look into some internships to get that exp. -
b2plane64042y@fruitfcker i work fine with others. I built very complex projects such as crypto trading signal platform admin panel. Live music streaming ios app web platform. Web platform for a real estate agency from Massachusetts. Mobile chatting app in flutter plus backend of my own using socket.io for bidirectional chatting functionality and not using any 3rd party like firebase n shits. I can talk day and night what i built what i know and how much experience i have. And i still get rejected.
-
b2plane64042y@Demolishun no ones calling any company out. I dont care about any of them until they show they care about me. They reject 99% of people so its not a secret of me showing their rejection letter. The point of this rejection journey is to show the reasons why i got rejected and to learn from it, to see if its truly my fault or if they are just looking for wage slaves doing x10 harder jobs and in return get paid x100 less than what they deserve
-
@b2plane
So in essence, nothing complex, just the "web platform for x".
Told you before, as @aviophile si succinctly expressed.
I'm still waiting to see *what* you are asking from these companies, because if it is, judging from previous rants, what it is, it is no wonder you get rejected... -
b2plane64042y@CoreFusionX what are you talking about? I am not asking for anything other than a normal job with a liveable non-slave wage salary. Is asking for 1000-1500$ a month salary too much? Or am i supposed to accept working for 500-600$ a month?
-
@b2plane
As I'm getting tired of telling you, it's too much if it's above your local market rate *and* you can't prove you are significantly above your local average hire pool.
Rejection 5 / 1000 of my 1000 job applications TikTok journey
I have rejection 6 ready but cant post more than 1 image at a time on devrant. Rejection 6 is the same company from rejection 4! They fucking rejected me TWICE. Because i asked them to tell ME out of ALL the positions they have available -- NOT A SINGLE ONE FITS MY PROFILE. DO THEY NOT CARE THAT I HAVE A COMPUTER SCIENCE DEGREE????????????????
