I started writing a rant and then, when I was almost ready, accidentally clicked somewhere outside the text window, not even close to the exit button, and my rant disappeared into the void without a warning. Well thank you very much! :(

Happened to me many times. That's why I copy the rant always before moving my mouse away.

@dfox a new feature might be necessary here

@pain Better fix the existing features so that they work as expected, before adding more bugs :)

    It's not a bug. It's a feature!

@tigie11 yeah like - if you cannot recreated your rant after you've lost it, you probably weren't pissed of enough Oo

@pain I might have been, but then I got even more pissed off at devrant. And once the-hours limit had elapsed I had actually forgotten what my original rant was about, so you're probably right, I wasn't pissed off enough :D

@tigie11 The difference between a bug and a feature, is that features serve some purpose. So, if the purpose of this non-standard UX behaviour is to piss the user off, then yes, it's a feature.

@tigie11 P.S. It actually makes perfect sense as it's paramount to devRant to give their users more reasons to rant ;)
