I'm working as a software intern and the room where I work is almost always quiet. And then there's some people who come in and talk, but at that point I don't mind because it's better than straight silence. Anyway, yeah

Also an intern at this company, best advice i can pass on is that by talking to them it shows you are showing interest in the other co-workers. Doesn't have to be full blown conversations, maybe just ask what they are working on , they will see you showing interest into what they are doing
