My internship was to push pages from development to production in a CMS for 3 months, while the company was redoing their whole website. Their devs were spending too much time on a menial tasks and needed a lackey. Very cushy, very boring internship. At least it paid well! I used Selenium to automate it and asked for more work. In no time they put me on tickets and had me fixing server bugs :) don't despair, show them you can do more and a successful company will take all you'll give!

I like to think of things like that as life pointers, I've end d up doing many tasks like this to earn cash, aside from the cash it has highlighted what I definitely don't want to do.
