Getting one of these from my new job in August. Can't wait 😂!

Good choice, got mine two days after they announced it :)

It looks like every other phone on the market. What's special about it?

    Serious question.

Do you have the jelly screen?
  • 2
    @DRHAX34 😂
    it's a feature not a bug!
  • 1
@elonmusk XD but seriously, I will not buy the 5. Doesn't seem like an upgrade to my 3T. Also when OnePlus declared it was "Natural" I kind of lost all hope. Now I kinda think the 3T will not be updated anymore...

@DRHAX34 of course! They already stopped caring about the users! One plus 2 users are dead in the water! Officially announced they will not get software update! What???
Atleast 3t is getting the O update this fall!
  • 1
@DRHAX34 as they mention you will only be able to get the clearer photo not the video!

@elonmusk Maybe DCI-P3 too? 'Cause the 3T's screen supports it. And since the 5 is using Ext4, what'll happen to our F2FS phones, will they try to convert it?
  • 2
@DRHAX34 let us hope that they will fix that jelly scrolling!
Pretty sure they will not do it!

Still on the fence if I want another over powered phone (still enjoying my OPX) or if I want a Fair Phone 2. Such a dialemma.

@lohnn Inverted display causes jelly scrolling issue on Oneplus 5. Hope your phone isn't affected.

I've already fallen in love in my OP5.

@oscylo what do you have to say about it?
  • 1
@elonmusk to be honest, I'm coming from a OP2 and from using Pixel through my work, so the OIS is not really missed yet ;)

@Wholteza actually got this through my job as well.

@krazycavin I think I have a bit jelly scrolling. But it's not too noticable so for now it's fine. As @oscylo, I've also fallen a bit in love with my OP5

@SlyCoopers I'm finishing my second day with OP5 with battery at 57%. My day was some Spotify, lots of Skype a little YouTube and a bit of devRant. All day on 4G with active data. 50 photos and two 4k 1 minute videos, when shot screen was on full brightness during 1h period.

@DRHAX34 I'm amazed by the speed of storage. Installation of any app is instantaneous. Great vibration motor. Full charge from 0% in a little over an hour. Extremely thin and I almost can't see it in my pocket. I was really afraid that 5.5" will be too big, but it's not. Camera gives a lot more options to a hobby photographer like me then a single lens solution but there is a room for improvement in a software department. If you are on the edge and you don't no whether to buy it or not, do it and you can thank me later.

I've had the opo and opt. Honestly I love them for about 6 months then something breaks. The one lost it's mic and the two, the fingerprint scanner pretty much has it's own life it lives. Sometimes it's there sometimes it's not.

@lohnn EIS is pixel is way better than the one plus one because it's Google (masters of software)
But it's too shaky in OnePlus 5.

@oscylo you are also amazed that they are not going to fix jelly scrolling effect!.
I agree that it is a solid phone for that budget along with P9.
