Despite beeing one of the strangest ads I ever saw, this one is a beautiful and scary example of advertising tracking. Although I used a vpn and incognito mode I saw this ad on a page really not tech related at all.

Wait, you know vpn and stuff but you never heard of adblock add-ons? 🙄

Install the add-on Ghostery. Kills most trackers, but it is all selectable.

A lot of people who know enough about computers to use a VPN also program. The data collected for the VPN you are using, including you current use, reflects that. I don't see anything to be scared of; all they know is IP X.X.X.X has connected to Y.Y.Y.Y and Z.Z.Z.Z, so they should push A.

    What-ever.

IP is not the only thing they track. They check the UA string, OS, window size, screen size, browser version. All this, creates a profile on you, the IP is just an extra

@Huuugo I in fact use adblock origin and also a pihole adblock dns but the ads on this site seem to not be blocked by any of the lists I have activated.

If they can show you ads despite all your blocking efforts, they very well deserve to get the ad impression. 😂😂😂
