BlueJ for Java and the IDLE for Python.
No big difference to coding in NotePad.

Just don't understand, why IDEs for learning purposes are that feature-less.

"Hey, you want to learn to code in that specifc language? It would be a shame, if you have to do almost anything by yourself."

Why use them anyway? When I was studying Java, we were told to use either Eclipse or NetBeans.

As for Python - Spyder is free and works well for single files

@apisarenco My school forced me to use BlueJ and my university forced me to use IDLE.

@pietlu really? Forced? I understand forcing a language / platform, but the tools you use? That sounds stupid.
