Why does it feel like learning to code requires a building of endurance? Like training for a marathon, you have to build up to bigger and deeper learning sessions. Rewarding and frustrating at the same time.

D- for avatar look alikeness. I think we need hat options next.

@ryanmhoffman agreed on the hats idea. And I wish I had a beard to match, job doesn't allow it though

@StomSquatch all the rest are on the floor, aren't they? ;)

@taylorviktorya ha, you got me. My floor is littered with empty Full Throttle cans, tough to even walk in here!

@taylorviktorya and what is your caffeine of choice?
  • 1
@StomSquatch cold brew coffee with an add shot, monster energy, and mountain dew. At least 2/3 are on my desk at all times
  • 1
@taylorviktorya I am definitely with you on the cold brew, never had taste for Monster or Mt Dew though.

@StomSquatch we have vending machines and a cafe thing on site that sell mountain dew, monster, rockstar, red bull, Starbucks doubleshot energy drinks, coffee, tea, the glass jar frappuccino things... and I think one floor has a cappuccino serving vending machine thing. We have options. The vending machines are 24 hour and have red bull, soda, and monster, but the cafes (sell everything else) are only open for breakfast and lunch, which is why I drink what I do.

@taylorviktorya wow, talk about options. Maybe I'll fortunate enough to get to work at a place like that someday

@StomSquatch it's a pretty cool place, feeling a bit overwhelmed, but it's pretty fun
  • 1
@taylorviktorya I can imagine the overwhelming feeling, what are you doing?
  • 1
@StomSquatch I do system restoration and incident management. So I'm on the calls until everything is back up and running...
  • 1
@taylorviktorya I can absolutely understand feeling overwhelmed at times. That sounds hectic, must have some good people skills.

@StomSquatch I'm good at pretending 😂😂 my boss gets on my nerves. A lot. He's retired service and thinks we should operate the sane way and won't budge, even though we're all civilian on the team. That's probably more of a challenge than the no sleep lol
  • 1
@taylorviktorya ha, I apologize for that. Sometimes it's tough or just uncomfortable to lay off the service mentality for some. Glad you are good at pretending, sometimes called your customer service face 😀
