Help needed.
I got a job offer from a good company and the pay is good. Plus, a major stake of the company was bought by a tech giant few days back and I think it's gonna be a great head-start for my career. The problem is the location is in Mumbai, India, and I really doubt I can live there on my own. I don't personally like the place (though I might have some misconception about it). What should I do? Join and pray everything goes alright or skip and wait for the next adventure?

I wouldn't do it, but I'm scared to go to a new building let alone a new country. This is probably looked down on so don't take my word for it but: If it were me, I'd counter offer less money for similar position as remote work. Ofc time zone could make this difficult but I've heard of it working. Plus give them a number of weeks per year I would be willing to travel. Like 4 lol.

Really it comes down to, could you perform well and then sleep at night? If not then you'll be sent back packing anyway. Again, I'm terrible, so seek more advice before deciding.

    You should go.
    At least for some time.

Hmmm, ask strangers about a completely personal choice. One that will affect your life for a year, two, etc.

Talk this out with relatives or friends, not ppl on the internet.

The advantages if you earn enough to afford to live in vile parle or bandara are, cleaner air than in dehli. Going to Juhu Beach, awesome shoping Mals like the Phoenix Mall. Plus there are nabourhoods where it's as clean and quiet, comfortable as in europe.

    Disadvantages
Language barrier Mahastri (the rich talk mostly english anyway)
    beeing seperated from family
traffic jams and poor public transport system
    Extreme poverty and Slums
    Crowded and dense

I would recomend it to move to Mumbai, to learn something new and broaden your world view. And after some time if you had enough move on. Maybe to Canada or Europe and then back to dehli.

A pretty relevant point that you have omitted: where are you based just now.
