Made up my mind to quit my new job yesterday. Im constantly bored. Either I have no work assigned no matter how much I ask for more, or I get handed work where the solution is already identified.

Obviously gonna find a new job first, wish me luck!

I wish you all the best. Had the same Problem. If you stay you'll be always unhappy.

Thanks! That's was my thinking too. Did it take you long to find somewhere where you were happy?

No. I looked for a new Job while I was working on my old Job. It took me 2 weeks to get my first Interview and I stuck to it.

You are smart looking while keeping your job. Good luck and keep us informed.

I have the same problem, but I'm procrastinating quitting my job for the sole reason that a close friend of mine works there. I will regret if I stay, but I won't leave a true friend working alone. Any suggestions?

I changed jobs once. Thought everyone at new place was cool at interview. A few weeks in, determined they were all fake hipster folk or assholes. Missed my friend/manager at my old job.

So weird how sometimes you become an instant friend with some coworkers but others, even after a few months of trying, there's nothing to build on.

@veshsare I've been there. Its important to see that you're friend will leave the company (and you) for a better opportunity, if presented with one. Same with a company: they will have no hard feelings about cutting you as an employee because that's just business. In the end, you are working to pursuit YOUR happiness. If that includes working with a close friend of yours, that's your prerogative. My advice is to weigh the pros and cons in order to decide what makes you the most happy.

This may happen at the next place, or worse you'll have boatloads of work to do that's only slightly related to the skill-set you want to hone.

Just remember 10% personal project. Heck 20%.
