I like windows. Although I've never used a mac, or linux. I've heard linux is superior to windows, but I don't care enough to find out. Although I'd prefer a mac because it would allow me to learn iOS AND android app development, not just android. I know you can just run Mac OS on a VM but I'm not an expert on that and I don't want to risk screwing my laptop up.

    @Sydochen you can install hackintosh
  • 8
@Sydochen The people who say Linux is superior have a 100% chance of being biased lol
  • 10
@Sydochen the only reason why Linux would be superior to Windows, is because of the package manager

And if you manage to fuck up your computer with a VM, you're the real MVP xD

    @jpichardo @matsaki95 @Edwiuxaz and everyone else I forgot who loves Linux 😜
  • 7
Yeah, I love linux, never going back to windows as main OS
  • 2
@jhh2450 Define biased in this case? :)
  • 12
Hey, if windows is so '' great '' why are they trying to put the ubuntu Linux on windows, and the great bash shell...? Cant they just stay with their own batch and the windows stuf...? It's not like mac nor linux are putting any windows sub system on their os... Just saying, nothing more 😺 :3

@linuxxx Likely the ones that use the term "Winblows." The ones who refuse to ever use Windows. The ones who act like vegans (make it a point to mention Linux, even when it's not relevant). The ones who are total assholes about it when you talk about Linux vs anything. This is the definition of biased in said case.

Well then is some strange love between windows and I, so for now I'll stick to fedora, she treats me way better
  • 2
I like windows, but its a fucking piece of shit(sometimes)... Its take forever to install the fucking updates... Maybe uncle bill could do it a litle better. Also like linux mint
  • 2
Windows is great because it can run Linux on it. Why the hell you people don't know about Linux bash shell on windows?!
  • 1
Moreover you can easily download Ubuntu from Windows store.
  • 5
    No.
  • 3
@newbiedog I never faced any windows update problem ever yea my version is bit buggy but hey it's insider preview
  • 3
@MCCshreyas Ubuntu on windows is not even half good as real ubuntu or any other distro
  • 2
if you had said that at the time when everyone was still usimg xp or 7, I would've agreed
  • 2
@karwler windows 10 is awesome yea Microsoft is struggling nowadays but hey all over performance is better and since Microsoft not going to launch further Windows version that means windows 10 is getting better and better
  • 1
I think no operating system is superior than another, if you are a dev it's your responsibility to make use of both the operating systems according to YOUR use.

@shantnuchaubey true, 10 has some cool things about it (which is why I tried several times to come back to it) but getting the drivers to behave properly is a nightmare (at least on my pc). it took me two days to get the display and sound drivers to work properly and there was still one driver that was completely messing up the audio latency, so listening to music was basically listening to a bunch of crackling noises. on top of it, trying to reinstall that driver entirely broke windows so it wouldn't boot anymore. so my conclusion is: fuck windows

Come i guys, deep down we all know BSD is best and we love it.
  • 1
Visual studio = free ... yeah i like windows.

Ssh ubuntu server = i like linux.

Our community does not need to do this every 5 posts.

People make choices that work for them and that's all. Please don't do this shit all the time.
  • 2
@tmux thanks, I love u btw, but if you could be more stylesable would be perfect, and no I'm never changing you for tilix
  • 2
@jpichardo I am the real shit. If only I had an easy way to setup my sessions so I can create them from scratch every time they we closed.
  • 1
@tmux yeah you made me use tmuxp for a moment but nah, you must be used plain and simple with powrline ofc
  • 1
@jpichardo haven't tried powerline with tmux, I just set a few colors a couple of years back and have been using it like that since. Is it good?
  • 3
Windows is best, only when it's inside a VM away from my shit
  • 1
    Nice bait 👌
  • 1
    lol.. no :)

@jhh2450 But that bias'ism' exists in every OS world, and I know way too many of those biased people in windows user form too badly :/
  • 2
Windows is a evil piece of proprietary shit.

Why are they integrating Linux into their system if it's so "great"?
  • 0
@ashishrn96 But what if, for personal ethical reasoning you don't want to use certain operating systems?
  • 0
    Gr8 b8 m8, I r8 it an 8/8.

There's a place for Mac/PC/Linux trolling, it's called 4chan.org/g/, but you'll have to try harder than that.
  • 2
If personal ethical reasoning hinders the professional and potential use of that OS, i would think that you are compromising with your profession @linuxxx

Windows is great for video games
  • 0
If you are web developer which os you use not matter at all but if you are a software developer then it's a big deal
  • 0
@tmux well, I love it, but it like everything with Ricing just visual treats, you know what I'm saying? (Sorry always want to say that)

@shantnuchaubey what did you mean with "its a bit buggy"?... In the same machine win 8.1 spend more than 8 hours to install 1.5gb updates. Open suse in the same machine install 3.8gb updates in less than 1 hour. I like win 8.1... But somethimes is fucking piece of shit... Peace and love between devs!
  • 0
@newbiedog your bad I've installed 2.8gb update under one hour
  • 1
@jpichardo I will give it a shot then. Pichardo for president.
  • 0
    @shantnuchaubey i just can't believe that lol
  • 2
@ashishrn96 In my case it's the fact that I don't trust any closed source operating system. But that's just my personal view :)
  • 0
@newbiedog idk why I never faced any update related problem in windows
  • 1
@shantnuchaubey sometimes we share the same feeling
  • 0
@newbiedog it's just insider preview bugs
