@Alt-Grrr and uninstall Google chrome.. If there is no Google Chrome , it wouldn't take any RAM.. 😑
-
I understand... Like 7-8 tabs take about 2-3 gigs of ram on my system... Literally 500 megs for a single tab!!
-
@RTRMS I thought Opera uses the Chromium engine? That's the one Chrome uses as well.
-
Lol if i get a new laptop, m not gonna get anything lower than 16 gigs of RAM... Currently on linux, with 2 chrome tabs, and 3-4 semi heavy apps, m running like 3.5 gigs of RAM... Mate DE btw...
There r literally 15 processes of chrome ranging from 800 kibs to 522 megs -
RTRMS36907y@linuxxx no, Opera uses web kit, which chrome used to use, until they forked it to do chromium and in turn take up more ram.
Think of opera as chrome, but with the whore module. -
RTRMS36907y@linuxxx not a concern of mine, I just like that it renders the web properly, I can use it for dev with all my little plugins, tools and dev panel, without needing an extra 16gb of ram. The built in adblocker and unlimited free VPN Def don't hurt.
-
@RTRMS Oh I wasn't saying it should be your concern, just wondering if you knew it by any chance 😅
-
RTRMS36907y@linuxxx if it wasn't clear then, lol. Nope, no idea. Was opera ever open source, webkit would still be, of course. Safari still using version 0.0.1
Google chrome
Plz come on
Just take the whole c drive for ur cache and stuff...
Dont take my whole ram
