I fell in love with CodeIgniter...
It's just a so simple but powerful and feature-rich PHP-Framework.

I like prefer CodeIgniter over Laravel!

    Give CakePHP a try!
I switched from CI to CakePHP, it's in the middle of CI and laravel.

CI was my first. Symfony and then larvavel followed. Mostly stuck with symfony. Might give CI a whirl again. what's so great about in since I last used it 4-5 years ago?

As a php developer for the last 10+ years, why php?

@boom Well some people actually like PHP, like me for example :)

Its awesome. But it has similar limitations as node, so i cant see a reason to prefer it over node anymore @linuxxx

@boom Tbh I program in both PHP and Node haha

    And...? @linuxxx

@boom Like them both for different use cases! For real time stuff I use node (socket.io) and for general websites/API's I use PHP :)

Ye, I've already taken a look, but CodeIgniter just seemed a bit easier and more sympathetic.

(CI doesn't use that much Namespaces and D
different class names, instead you extend CI_Controller and then use $this to load helpers and libraries and stuff)
