need help....
my acer laptop isn't starting, charging is working fine, but when I press power button an LED glows & then turns off in 3-4 secs... nothing on the screen though

Maybe the battery is broken, happens a bunch

Find the online manual and check it. Usually the LEDs on laptops blink or light up if there is a hardware problem that prevents the normal POST. Most usual culprit is the RAM though.

Does the keyboard feel warm when left for a while?

Just thinking, connections to the screen often break. It's a fairly common thing and can even happen with well cared for laptops.

Had this before on my Acer.. Ram just needed a reseat

Is the power plug making making good contact to your laptop or is it jiggly?

Is the charger ok? Check the cable. I have had bad chargers and picked up 3rd party chargers online that solved the problem.

no problem with the charger, @Jumpshot44 ... its a laptop issue

@pavanshetty8 just take out the ram, give it a good blow (like in the old days of cartridge consoles!) and put it back in again.. Nothing more, nothing less..

Do you hear any beeps?
If you do heat beeps then the number of beeps corresponds to the error code which you can Google for your laptop model :)

@pavanshetty8 if it were the connection to the screen then obviously it would be a hardware issue. Therefore if you don't have the ability to repair it yourself (I've heard it can be extremely fiddly) then take it to someone that can repair it.
