We all love wikipedia, but seriously: how far can you go with begging?
(this was on a 1920x1080 screen yesterday)

I mean, you do use their extensive databank for free, can you consider that begging?

They say, that they don't want ads on the page, but occasionally ask for support. I would say, that ads are less annoying, than these popups, especially if they are as big as this.

Wikipedia is such a useful tool, I would do it.

The pop up never annoyed me, you scroll past it and it's gone imo. If it helps anything, donating makes it disappear (at least after I donated a little I never saw it again so maybe you get a cookie['donated'] == true). I also think its a good thing to do, I mean, we use it so much and those people have to eat too.

As far as I know, if you create a profile and login, then you can disable these warnings ina settings menu or something along those lines.
Also, these popups load later, so the page jumps. It is really distracting and there would be much better ways to ask for a donation.

Better question is why were you looking up a list of trolleybus systems?

@roscoe4 - don't know any more, got too shocked from that popup.

I would rather donate to the devrant devs, than to wikipedia.

even tho wikipedia does way more than a social app (nothing against devrant or mr fox or mr rogus but if you look at from a technical standpoint that is the case)

Wikipedia is a source of information, so if you don't want the information you get from it to be controlled or censored by advertisers you should consider donating.
imo wikipedia is the most worthy of donation website out there.
