    Converting a PDF to a vector format isn’t near as good as having the original vector. That being said if he wants a vector I’d think he’d be asking for an Illustrator file or an SVG

    @dev0urer a PDF _is_ a vector format.

    @configurator I guess technically, but it's also technically a document format 😅 I would never attempt to convert a PDF into a usable image unless I absolutely had to

    @dev0urer it's actually very useful as an interchange format between various vector tools, e.g. Sketch or Adobe tools.

    Yeah but when people put raster image files in a pdf, and think that it will magically be vectorized........

    There certainly is something to all your points and some formats are better for a certain purpose. However vectors remain vectors if they are inside a PDF, a AI, an INDD in an SVG or sketch or afdesign. :)

    What seemed so strange to me was the ignorance on the first level of not even considering that there might be usable data in that PDF and not even trying to open it..
    ..and then on the second level the weird combination of asking for "PSD or EPS". When you are able to identify vectors within a PSD why don't you find them or try to find them in the PDF. -.-
