@rtfm Switched to a MBP a few months ago, so I'm using macOS since then.

I like it, it's not bad at all, but I miss the freedom and "open-sourcessness" of the Linux ecosystem.

I'm resizing my main partition to make room for Archlinux right now.

It's funny, ever since I have Mint installed dualboot, I barely use Windows. But I couldn't give it up completely because of the multimedia capacities.

@620hun I'm a gamer I know how you feel. For know, I still need windows for the majority of them.

@rtfm not with the new MBPs. At least, not on bare metal.

@dfloureiro I'm waiting on Cloud Gaming for that. Trying as soon as I get a good connection.

@Jilano to expensive for now but it's the future. Right now with Vulcan some games are getting very good performance on Linux. Steam for instance is investing a lot on this - they want to remove direct X from the gaming monopoly. I really hope they succeed on this, turning Linux distros to the ultimate gaming OS would be a dream come true 😄 and since gamers are getting more techy and are always looking for ways to increase performance, I really believe in this project.

What about a whole Linux Distro just for gamers? @dfloureiro

@pascal-dev we already have projects with this set in mind. SteamOS is the most popular one, but a lot os popular distros already have gaming editions, like manjaro or fedora, or projects like Ubuntu gamepack, or even projects fully dedicated to this like Play Linux or Lakka. Now that Gpus support and are investing on drivers for Vulcan, we'll have more and more developers using it, and gaming on Linux will start to be a more realistic scenario.
