Hey you can still dual boot it!

What does buying a MBP have to do with Linux? You can still use Linux.

    Y tho

MacOS has very similar terminal commands compared to Linux, it’s faster than a lot of Linux distros(of course everything is faster than Windows) and is very easy to use(maybe even easier than Windows).

@just-basic-user terminal commands are just apps that you can install on any OS, even Windows. If you are using them you can probably install them. Windows even has Bash available now which is basically a Ubuntu terminal without a VM.

As for speed, it is usually more common to see Macos/OSX as the slowest OS. Yes the animations may look smooth but compiled apps run slow.
According to this (and anything else you can find) it takes up to 5 times longer to run some critical tasks compared to Ubuntu: http://phoronix.com/scan.php/...

OSX has the least apps made for it as it misses out on most of those closed source apps and many of the open source ones (that I use anyway) just have never been compiled for it.

Of course it all depends on the user. As a developer, you're probably far better off having every OS if you need to target every OS. As a user, you can probably use any OS as long as it has an internet browser and is already set up.

@RAZERZ every company I interviewed. They either use Windows or Mac. Even they use Linux server. They say need to follow policy.

@just-basic-user It's absolutely not faster, especially when you do web development and run a local server and database. Even fat distros like Ubuntu — EXT4 just handles large amounts of file reads/writes quite well, and linux is great at managing threads.

OSX is easier to use for many people, and certainly harder to break. It looks clean and well designed, and I understand why people use it for development, but there's a reason Apple servers didn't overtake the world.

Why not just use Windows, Linux and Mac OS on the same machine? See pic:

@kenpeter Although I might bot know much, if you need help, gimme a shout!

MacOS in a VM runs just as fast as natively on modern hardware. So unless you are concerned about the legalities (like company is) there's no reason to buy MBP for that reason.

If you used this Blade you would think it was a MacBook. Except this MacBook has 12 hour battery life (on Intel) and an NVIDIA 1060.

Also, better backlit keyboard with control key in the correct location. All individually configurable but I made them all purple :P

@xsacha company only allow Mac or Windows. I need to get used to Mac. Because every time the job description, will say you need to use Mac.(if not, most of the time). For personally use, I will try VM the iOS. Perhaps the next gen kids all use Mac these days.

@xsacha Thats what I do but I hackintoshed my PC, native MacOS without VM.
    Triple boot, great performance.
