Anyone using power BI at work for visualization ?

had to integrate it in a mobile app couple of years ago and show dashboard, tiles, having trouble with their API?

@gitpush no trouble with the API. Just wanted to know if anyone here has used power bi

@abch oh, I tested it with data from my Uservoice account, it is a nice tool but I think it is best for those with large data

@gitpush nice to know. I have only used it for some demo projects. How would you compare it with other visualization tools like Tableau?

@abch To be honest I did not use other tools, I was asked to check their API so had to learn what Power BI was before I begin.
But from a dev/technical point of view, anything that gives me complete control of what I want to show and how to connect data is welcomed. But what I liked about PowerBI is it had good integration with Azure which we were using at that time

@abch Your welcome, good luck using it. Take my advice just use their web app NEVER try their mobile or desktop app, they are a pain unless they improved them lol

I want to but at work they don't use Microsoft office or any of those tools.
I saw a client demonstrate some of our data in it and it looked absolutely amazing.
I probably don't have enough time to create fancy visualisations but I figure it wouldn't take long with tools like that.

@xsacha ya. Visualization is awsome. What do you use for visualization?

@abch don't get any time to do it. We have a guy at University who visualises our data.
I'd probably just do it manually in C++ using sqlite queries, use MATLAB or bug the boss to buy Power BI if I needed to.
