So, I took the plunge into a new dostro base, and now I have Manjaro installed on both of my daily drivers. One question I have... What are the advantages/disadvantages of different term shells? It offers bash, zsh, and fish. I'm used to bash, but I once chose zsh by accident and it looked interesting.

Also, general new Linux distro advice? No apt ; _ ; it's hard to install stuff now xD

Different features. From what I've heard zsh is more feature rich. It behaves different in tab completion I think.

Just try it and you'll see if you like it. 🙂 I tried it once but it wasn't that different to bash. I'm probably not using it right. 😁

If you want a really comfortable shell with some neat features like history-filtering and nicer autocompletion, with little to no effort needed to get it working, try zsh with oh-my-zsh (basically a collection of presets and plugins)
