Apple knows so much about me 😄

..except the fact I use the metric system 😒

I think you could probably configure that?

Metric is way better in my opinion.

Haha same here! Google figured out where I live and where I work. But they still show me the temperature outside in farenheit and try to tell me how to say "good evening" in my own language!

WTF is a Short / Long Ton
I only know "Normal" Tons which are 1000 Kilogramms

@Olverine Google has my home and work mixed up... spending too much time at one or the other... Algorithm got confused. Or is it right after all? We may never know

Fuck the imperial fucking system. It's not 10'000 BC anymore...
  • 1
AFAIK all of them are wrong.

    It's like saying that 1kg = 10N.

Pounds are equivalent to N in the metric system.
  • 3
@AndSoWeCode With N you mean Newton?
Newton is a measure for force, pounds, kilograms, tons etc. are measures for mass.

1 kg of mass is not always 10 N as force.
This relation is depending on a lot of things: Direction of measurement, which planet, acceleration, altitute, ...

@PonySlaystation @AndSoWeCode actually pounds are used for both measuring force as well as mass under the imperial system because fuck knowing what the unit you're talking about is.
  • 2
    @PonySlaystation I was referring to
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... actually, and I thought that the colloquial Pound refers to force.

Not sure any more. Different sources of information that I got contradict each other.

Which is why I said that it's not comparable to kg, but to N.

For me google thinks I use fahrenheit. Oddly it switches sometimes to celsius after time.
  • 1
@Olverine @plusgut I thought there's a setting somewhere in the app to set the temperature measurement unit to Celsius?

Edit: shit I didn't realize this was an older rant
  • 1
@RealKC yep, and it sets it sets the temperature to celsius... after a delay... sometimes.
