This laptop se poes!

3 BSODs already today. On top of the whole wicket thing giving me kak with the stupid way it pulls in JS.

Like this is a Java gig (which comes with several issues of its own) so why the fuck am I on Windblows anyway

the question is, what the error code on the BSODs is?
Depending on why it crashes, it may also mess with other Operating Systems. if that gets fixed, possibly Windis will be fine.

Anyways, if you actually want to go to something different, try Linux. The usual disclaimer to try first and install later.
I won't say, what specific distro to pick, because people around here are rather thin skinned regarding that. Take a look on distrowatch instead of taking anyones advice.

@thebiochemic It said something about "STOP CODE" and the kernel. Happens too fast for me to get the whole thing, goes straight into the restart. I reseated the RAM and it has done it for a bit over an hour now. I'd be using Linux if it was up to me but the company issued me a Windows machine. I've asked a nice fat Ubuntu VM

If reseating ram is helping then this is really sketchy hardware.

Didn't see a BSOD for ages, last ones I saw with windows 7, was once faulty ram and once faulty hdd...but let's blame always windows because is cool

@dontbeevil I "think" I have had one BSOD with Win10 in 5 years. Still liked Win 7 better though.

@TheBeardedOne yeah thats how i'm doing it on work hardware. I just run vms with the stuff i need.

And the error is rather nondescript indeed..
