I feel like this app needs a notification counter like numerous other social media apps on Android.
I want to get notified, if someone commented on my rant and so on.

Would be nice, if both of the devs could see this message :)

    Isn't the issue tracker in place on GitHub just for things like that?

    @lo98be since both of them are reachable here, I don't find it necessary to reach them out over there :p

    @ElsSnek it's easier for them to have everything together on a platform designed for that purpose rather than in random rants here and there

    @lo98be

    Then again, didn't they build this app for devs to interact with eachother..?

    @ElsSnek No offence, but that sounds really smug and condescending. They set up the GitHub tracker because it's difficult to manage the feature requests/bug reports here. If you've any experience managing feedback, you'll understand how beneficial it is to have everything in one place and in a consistent form. Don't be lazy and raise the request at GitHub like the rest of us.

    I dont understand what notification counter? What is different from notification now?

    Am I missing something or am I on a different version? I get push notifications on Android and a nice little bell where notifications are shown?

    I think Mr overly Cocky Smug OP has disabled notifications adn trying to blame DevRant for it, I been getting notifications for months.

    @RTRMS don't be a dick towards someone by assuming what he did.
    Never assume someone by his mistakes. I know what I am talking about.

    @ElsSnek You might know what you're talking about but don't think any of the rest of us do. Knowing what you're talking about and being able to communicate it are very different things. English might not be your first language but can I be honest and tell you that you're not coming across very well.

    @CrankyOldDev
    I am trying to give my best to be helpful. But if someone comes with "overly cocky" at me, don't expect me to be nice to that person.

    Why do you think that I'm not able to communicate?
    I wasn't the attacker at all

    @ElsSnek You appear to have reported that Android doesn't have a notification counter. Which I think it does. Certainly iOS does. So what is your feature request? The fact that I don't know what you're asking for and others have misinterpreted it suggests there's a problem with how you've explained it.

    Although it probably doesn't matter if you add the issue at GitHub - it can be discussed and the detail sorted.

    Now I see what you mean. Thanks for helping me out. Will write a message in the issue section then :)

    @ElsSnek I wasn't the one that felt too important to post on github when told that is where issues are tracked.

    And seeing as notifications work on both android an ios, it is not outside the realm of possibility that you accidentally disabled or fuck, never even gave it permission in the first place, you are human, arrogant, but human.
