my boss is using internet explorer for everything
i cant even imagine how he can put up with its slowness and awful interface and everything else

Maybe he has it for those 'automatically opening corp websites' that need to be opened up at boot. Somehow IT sets them up to only open with Internet explorer or they actually only open up on IE.

I have one of those corp sites I can only use with IE. Even with setting up Firefox as default browser, somehow IE takes over. Probably some sorta evil auto run script from IT
