i got a cool idea i wanted to start working on with some friends maybe open source project ... (i like to think my ideas are cool ( อก° อœส– อก°) ) i do some research reading and i find something close or the exact same shit i was thinking about already in Kickstarter ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’

    Do it anyway, sure you may not be able to sell it (well you said open source anyway so...) But what's stopping you from doing it?

    Don't be afraid of a little competition! If it's in kickstarter its prolly not open source, for example.
