The wife and I decided (together) to change our daily habits and get up early again (together).

It's 6am now, I was rudely awakened by overtly excited dolphin noises (the alarm I set), crawled out of bed towards my coffee machine (for an intravenous pick-me-up) and now sit here, in the kitchen, half an hour later and alone, all while she's sleeping like a beautiful perfect little angel.

I am contemplating whether or not I should powerbomb back into bed to wake her up or just brush my teeth and leave for work, letting her sleep.

Which would be worse, because she'd sleep till, like, 10am, be late and all that.

Well guess what.

I just don't get how people can sleep throught their alarms. If my neighbor slams their door I'm awake, if it rains too hard I'm awake, if someone slept over and moved too much I'm awake.

I'm usually at gym 5am before work, I'm that alien 👽. On a sidenote I cook a pretty dope breakfast for my wife to wake up to.

    Ice. Cold. Water.

Or silently change your alarm for tomorrow to the usual time and pretend this day never happened

Living is bad for your health; it tends to get you killed.

So, meh. I found I work more efficiently in the ear hours.

You have to wake her up

@marthulu that's because you have to protect yourself.

When people are in a relationship, the guy usually wakes from stuff easier, since he wants to protect his girl. While she feels safe and keeps sleeping, except for high pitched voices, since those are like the voice of a baby.

But everyone is different and some people just sleep through everything while others don't sleep

@moortuvivens don't fool yourself. This woman wouldn't wake up if the kids were screaming and the house was on fire.

@evilmupp3t your wife and I might be related then. I can sleep through almost anything. Have slept through the fire alarms, too. And while swimming (competitively). And during band.

@QueenMorgana I don't get sleep easily. It's hard for me to sleep. But once I sleep, even if you stab me, it is not going to wake me up

    @moortuvivens Not when I'm in a relationship ;p

@QueenMorgana How can you sleep while swimming??? I thought that was impossible, and also kinda dangerous

@ocab19 it's rhythmic. It follows a pattern and, even during a race, the water is calming
