Apparently Apple doesn't support 2FA on your iCloud account unless you own an iPhone.

One of my main reasons for finally switching from my childhood address with them to gmail. 2FA does work with recent-ish macs, and once you set it up, you can use text messages as your 2nd factor, but I still hate how it really seems like an afterthought they had to seem slightly less cohersive, and I'm pretty convinced they'd be stupid (look at the latest Apple TV remote) and evil (look at them... Just look at them) enough to remove that possibility at some point.

As a security graduate, I'm all for 2FA everywhere, but the way they went about it, so openly telling anyone not willing to imprison themselves in their environment to fuck off, really got on my nerves.
