    LAMP, because Angular hasn't found itself yet. But, I like .net so in reality I would say neither;)

    i am slowly becoming a fan of Node JS and Express - i hate mongo, there are better options (hell a flat file is better then mongo)

    but in my day job im almost 100% LEMP (Linux, Nginx, Mysql, PHP) -- because apache is old and crufty.

    I think anything node.js will give you better performance than PHP out of the box. It also depends what you're making. With those 2 choices, I wouldn't think twice about node.js for a rest api.
