    GPE. Set the WU options there and you can ignore updates as long as you like.

    Weird, Windows never forced me to restart for updates... What sorcery is this?

    And here we go with comments like: "linux ftw, switch to linux, windows sucks..." without even know what software or programming language someone needs, in 3,2... Oh wait I'm already late

    @MrCSharp totally agree, also some one that couldn't spent a minute to go to settings - > updates - > active hours

    People who dont update their systems, doesn't matter which OS, are the reason why malware can spread like AIDS in a shady alley.
    If you don't want to be forced by Windoze, then a) update it manually before or b) set your busy hours in the settings and ylu are fine.

    I don't get it why people turn off updates. Be responsible.

    Yeah "working hours"... I guess it's not Microsoft's fault for restarting my system when I was coding at 7am without checking I'm actually working, resulting to the loss of a lot of freaking work... Heck, at least ask...

    @Jop- @Kamaropoulos maybe I'm lucky, i didn't see a single reboot in 2 years... Ah no I'm lying

    @Jop- I guess so, like my friends/relatives and 100/1000 pcs in the company that I worked in till today

    @Jop- sure buddy... I am pretty sure getting ur PC infected with a russian malware is much better than fucking installing an update to prevent it.

    @Jop- Once a month (2nd Tue) all you need is to restart the damn thing and wait for literally 5 or 10 minutes to install those updates. part of you maintaining your PC but you don't do it because you are so edgy and want to stick it to the big guys right? This is why XP had all those secuirty issues... people not updating their shit.

    @Jop- really don't know sometimes if what you and other people say it's real or not. Windows willl keep asking for about a month, if you set up the working hours they'll never install and reboot during that time... if you pass the month (I don't know precise, because as good practice I always usually switch off the pc at the end of working day they show you a message: "we're going to reboot your pc in XX minutes/hours) ... this is the default setting (and maybe the only one in HOME) because Windows has 90+% market share and most of them are not power users, but dumb users, and it's to protect them that click on any banner/attachment, but also to protect us, because a malware potentially can spread trough the LAN for example, even if you're the best expert power user or not... if you can't understand this, sorry but I give up
