@cafecortado we do call it Java 8 to Java 9. SDK versions are like 1.8 to 1.9

@GittinGudder Java has been a partner to many Devs during their lonely times. It is also a great maid. It has a garbage collector which works automatically. It has grown up to support streams and entertains you as you can enjoy streaming when lonely or bored. But when she gets sad, she throws a null pointer exception.. which is tough to handle if your relationship and understanding on her isn't strong. But, keep one thing in mind, she treats everyone as objects. But, you can be a member of it and assign yourself as final so that no one overwrites you and you can forever enjoy being a member.

Windows had an issue, programes from XP era checked if the windows version starts with '9'
So as to keep those older programes valid and not have them rewritten (as there were many) they skipped 9

Windows 9 was supposed to exist as a server version..

@Scrumplex 4 is an unlucky number in China which is why Chinese manufacturers avoid that number.

@byte that rumor is widespread, but I've never seen proof of it. It is definitely something that would not surprise me, but still, did not see any proof of it.
