Hi! I want to switch to linux but i never used it before and i want advice from you guys about the OS (what distro should i use and how to get started).

    Try elementary OS or Ubuntu mate.

    My personal favorite for desktop is Kubuntu

    I'd say give Linux Mint a try!

    Instinctively I'd suggest Ubuntu, but lately I have been using Antergos which I honestly find way easier to use. Only the support is harder to find but the arch wiki is freaking amazing.

    The reason I'd suggest antergos is that since I made the switch I have never been looking for applications anymore. AUR has everything! Something I cannot say for Ubuntu's ppa.

    Try Antergos or arch-anywhere.

    @wolt What I meant was that Arch Linux is the best distribution in my opinion. No crap. No unnecessary stuff. Simply a clean Linux.

    btw, Pacman is unbeatable compared to other package managers.

    @releaseHUN arch-anywhere is an installer for arch linux.

    Use any gnome desktop it helps better.
