My best CS teacher experience? Well, I've only taken one computer science college class(dual enrolled while in high school) but I think that I got the best possible teacher for that class. He wasn't a full time teacher, he was just part time from another company and was teaching Java.

It was great to have a teacher who was not a teacher by profession and actually knew the industry. Again, this was my only CS class, but I think that, from stories I've heard, I got lucky.

My University requires us to take a first year seminar class to make us (and I quote) "better and more well rounded students." (If you ask me, it's a total bullshit scam to waste my time.) But the teacher for this class is a professor at the community college nearby. However, she's not a professor here. And thank God I have her, because she doesn't treat this class like a core subject class. (Some of my friends have really difficult teachers and are actually struggling in what should be an easy 100.)

I guess the moral of my story is I can agree! The teachers that aren't actually teachers are so much better.
