I have to say. WINE is one of the most beautiful programs ever. Without it life would be a little worse

What do you use it for?

Wine emulates Win2 so well, that after it's uninstallation there are still files/entries of it in your disk

@ThatDude well duh, i was wondering what programs he was using it for XD

Hey some programs are too good and too old to be ported to linux.
    * starts wine to play tiger and chicken *

@DavidINC it allows me to get my device drivers working faster than looking for the Linux drivers (since no one wants to package Linux drivers for anything. It's all about windows)

@jester5537 um.... I'm pretty sure those drivers won't work for anything outside wine... I would stick with prepackaged Linux drivers. What devices are you using?

@DavidINC I'm using a printer and a hard drive bay/cloner. And they both currently seem to work even if I don't have wine running. (I'm not too experienced with Linux so might have done something else as well idek)

@jester5537 the printer likely works automatically with Linux. The hard drive bay/cloner thing... I don't know, but I'd hazard a guess that if you had wine drivers installed, they wouldn't work unless wine is running.
