Westworld, is science fiction. It's about living in a simulation or a virtual world. The story is by Jonathan Nolan, so it can't be bad.

Mr. Robot is the best IT related show until season 2. The entire season 1 was extremely technical and all the techniques used in the show to depict hacking are very close to the truth. Any dev would enjoy it.

Person Of Interest is another really good show which is written by Jonathan Nolan and it is based on a software that recognizes and records every single activity by every citizen. It is quite interesting; fiction but not too terribly technical.

A little further away from your preferred topic would be an office setting, for which The Office is the best.

Completely unrelated to your preference and I only include this because it is my favorite show of all time; That 70s Show. I don't know why, I just love every single second of it.

Silicon valley is an amazing and hilarious show about devs and the tech they use in the show is legit and even the code checks out and they clearly depict the mind of a programmer and also show the startup culture in a funny manner

@AProgrammer already watched it, but I think some episodes are added since the last one I watched

@retardis I will check Westworld, sounds too fantasy on it but I will give a look, thanks.

I watched Mr. Robot and I found it good specially the season 1.

Person of Intersest sounds really good after some googling about it

@lazyDev, I know right. But I found the second season a little too much on the dramatic side. Which is when I lost interest. It was starting to become a soap opera, rather than the technical masterpiece that it was before.

    Try some anime too:
Ghost in the Shell (must watch!)
    Psychopass
Cowboy bebop (sci fi, in space)
    Apple seed
    Clockwork Planet
    Darker than black (great one!)
    Gundam (whole franchise)

    Tv series:
    Continuum (time travel)
Man in the high castle (don't know how to classify it, based on Philip K Dick)
    Mr Robot (definitely!)
    Haven (not IT related)

    Movies:
    Matrix
    Antitrust
    Whole dc/marvel stuff

You can try all those marvel/dc baded tv series, there are plenty of those.

Try some books too. Look for
Piknik on the side of the road, by Strugaccy brothers (strugacki? Strugatsky? Sorry, they are Russian. Whole The Zone idea (like: Chernobyl, starts with them)

If you have a way of getting hold of British TV shows then I'd recommend "the IT crowd". It's on UK netflix but I know that's not necessarily true in other countries.

It's a comedy show about two tech support guys and their non-technical boss. The comedy might not be to everyone's taste but it's good for dev/it humour.
