Fuck you, you motherfucking fuck. How DARE you have the capacity to sell fake fucking chips on Amazon and make me fucking waste hours of my god damn fucking nights trying to program your shitty, lazy-ass implementation of an EEPROM.

I followed the datasheet specs down to the fucking microsecond just to find that nothing would write to the chip, and then spent hours of my goddamn life trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, making myself feel like a fucking failure for not being able to write 1s and 0s to a few pins. Fuck you, fuck you with a giant horse cock with needles on the tip

Why would someone sell fake ICs?

@SpencerBeige easy profit. sell 10 fake chips for $40 and youve made $35

@RuntimeError I'm just saying, it doesn't make any sense. You could sell a lot more with a reputable company name; sell 100 ICs for $2 profit and you get moar moneys

@SpencerBeige i agree, i dont know why someone would want to do this, but unfortunately its something that happens. i guess i shouldve done a quick google search about the ic before i bought it, as the first result is a post about the abundance of fakes of this ic

@RuntimeError Oh :/ I'm sorry. Well, at least this was a good lesson?

Curious guy here: What did you use and how did you do it? Any sources I can refer to?

P.S. I read these last couple of your rants

@World so for the 8 bit computer ive been loosely following Ben Eaters youtube series, and the fake chips i bought off of amazon (and left a review that theyre fake)

@World the computer is built mostly out of low level gates and some transcievers as well
