What do you guys think about DuckDuckGo? Is it trustworthy and are there any differences between the web and app version? Also, should I use a VPN alongside it?

@Haxk20 It's up to you :). The CEO has had a bad reputation but I believe people can change and it can't be much worse than Google so I use it every day!

VPN is always a + IF it's a trustworthy provider.

I already use DDG for 1 year and I am perfectly happy! It even shows you code snippets or Stackoverflow answers...amazing!

And if you want even more privacy I suggest you to buy NordVPN, they are amazing.

Yeah, my fear was if it tracked you the same as Google, just without a good search algorithm.

Guess I'll move to ddg then, and look for a good vpn provider (gotta search @linuxxx 's earlier rants about them).

    Thanks guys!

Oh boy. Should I bother, or is ddg with vpn enough if I'm just a casual pleb that wants some cyber-privacy?

You can also try Qwant, it's also good 😀

I have a decent run with DDG, but I find it slower than google.
