Do you know where to get Windows App Signing Keys for a reasonable price?

The cheapest ones I've found were still ~€150 per year, too much for a proof-of-concept :( Not signing the app is not an option...

@LeFlawk Its free unless you want a different kind of key I think. Because Visual Studio can do some signing on its own I think.

@Codex404 yeah but only for development, if you publish it or create an installer, you will get a message that the app is not trusted ☹️

I guess this rant is going nowhere, since it's gotten too old, but didn't get upvotes, so not too many saw it.

I nevertheless want to share my findings. The cheapest certificates I have found are from Commodo - around €100 for one year.
But there are some resellers around, which offer a reasonable discount, the cheapest one I've found was ~€65. I guess I will go with one of those.

TIL if you publish your app in windows store, you don't need any certificate, MS signs the executable for you.

You only need a developer account for $20 (one time).
