I know they're different, but I thought Riot used Jitsi as their video backend. I could be wrong on that... -
@RiderExMachina That's peer to peer I thought. Otherwise they might, not sure about that one :)

balte22917y@linuxxx Jitsi Meet is standalone, but Jitsi in general has quite a few open source projects including VideoBridge, an SFU for WebRTC that supports SIP and XMPP. If you check out the "projects built on" you'll see Riot pop up as well.
(I personally still swear by mediasoup as an SFU because it makes no assumptions about the rest of the stack)
For anyone looking for a quick video conferencing solution, take a look at Jitsi Meet!
Although I'm still unsure about the levels of encryption, it works veeery well!
