Why don't designers use git, or at least use version numbers in their files?

Looking at around 20 files in my downloads folder called "final" and it's bloody annoying.

    Git is not good for binary files, the history will become massive

    @RinseRepeat Good point, I did not think of that. But I do think that you can compromise storage to bring some order to the chaos.

    you can do a ls -lart usually files should end with the date time thing to make it easy to find

    adobe should invent something for its creative cloud, would make life much easier for a lot of people.

    I know bitbucket have a server solution currently available and the cloud version is on the way. I'm not sure about github but it might already be available.

    Both are called LFS - large file storage.

    went through the same thing.. then our designer started using Zeplin! That solved the problem

    I just got my designer on GitHub. As long as she only commits "final" stuff, it'll be nice to have immediate access even if it's only a placeholder.
