@Nanos OP is not wrong. It still varies a bit by location but the whole money as dept thing. Massive exploitation and business practices that are somehow legal but would classify as fraud. Especially in the US.
The look it is free mentally as long as you become the product. This started happening at the start of internet mass adoption. Free internet providers but you have to watch ads or a browser with a fixed homepage.
