Quantum computing does not work like regular computing. Quantum computing is a carefully set up simulation that explores all possible solutions to a problem at the same time and thus could potentially, for example, brute force a password of any length in one try.
So a quantum computer would probably finish an infinite loop in one tick. -

It explores a dataset composed of its memory by doing operations that seek for either the lowest or highest energy point.
This is why NP hard problems are almost instantaneous on them
I wonder what happens if you accidentally make an infinite loop on a quantum computer.
