Can't get my hackintosh to boot the Sierra installer. Really sick of having to play around with Hackintoshes until I have the money for a MacBook. But such is my life...

    Did you get:

    - Latest version of Clover
    - BOOTX64.efi
    - CLOVERX64.efi
    - FakeSMC.kext
    - The ethernet kext for your setup, you can use the El Capitan version
    - An 16GB or more USB

    Any errors or what so ever may also help reproduce the reason why it won't boot the Sierra installer? :)

    I think I could live with Linux until I got a Mac. I basically live in the shell anyway

    Have you tried using Linux as your daily driver? You can usually find alternatives to proprietary software that may even be better. Plus less overhead.

    #manjaro is my current daily driver. Gets all my work done and more.

    @UltimaQ if one wants to develop for IOS one needs to have access to Xcode, which sadly only runs on MACs (or hackintoshes)

    Comment if you get it because I'm about to try the same thing once I finish my Power Mac G5 case mod

    @bhargav-mogra this exact reason

    @YoungWebRebelz yes. It hangs on the gray screen with the beach ball. It might be missing the AppleIntelCPUManagement (or however it is called) kext.
