How do you deal with clients continuously rewriting the content for a static website and every time you deploy they rewrite it again?

Some pages of this site I'm currently working on are on their 6th version just for written content changes!

I wanna drive over there and punch them every time they do.

Are they are paying you each time?

I had that exact same situation when I started. I had to teach all of them git. I taught them the basic concepts and then the github app, and it worked out just fine. To developers I would recommend using command line or a different app than the github one, but for non-developers it worked.

@Jumpshot44 nope and my senior manager is worried they'd start bleeting on about having a CMS.

@tytho I doubt my clients would go for that option. They're old and part of big corporation that only knows how to use Microsoft office.

Maybe a collaborative and versioning online writing tool would be a way to go though.

@beningreenjam - big corp that only know Microsoft Office often means SharePoint is somewhere on their network. Not a big fan but it can be leveraged. Newest upgrade has some added features but SharePoint can be a bear.
