I've uncovered the complot.

I clearly remember buying my first monitor, it was 15 inch, 1024x768. Then I went to a 19 inch 1680x1050 one, then 24 inch 1080p, then 27 inch 1440p...

Now I used two 32 inch 4K screens at work... and I come home, and the three 27 inch screens look a bit smallish, with the old 24 inch one being absolutely tiny on my desk.

It wasn't that tiny when I still owned the 15 inch screen? And my 5.5 inch phone doesn't feel as big as when I bought it either?

So the complot... All monitors slowly shrink over time, and they start shrinking faster when new monitors are brought into the household.

So you're saying that I'm going to carry a backpack to fit my galaxy note 11 in it?

Reminds me of this scientific discovery:

A man took a cockroach and wrote down in his journal:
"Day 1, subject has 6 legs, when I clap my hands it runs away."

Then on the second day he cut off one of his legs and logged:
"Day 2, subject has 5 legs, runs away when I clap."

So on to seventh day. "Day 7, subject has no legs, doesn't run when I clap.
Conclusion - cockroaches do not hear without legs."

@Count No I'm saying your current tablet will get lost between the loose coins in your pocket within a few years.

This slow shrinking of the hardware is built in by electronics vendors so they can keep selling things which have bigger numbers in their ads. Mark my words, in 2030 they will sell 43" iPhones.

Fist monitor was a 1024×780 tube monitor. Looked gigantic when I was 12, now I am sitting here, complaining that my 1440p monitor is too small...

so... I guess you're going to be saving up for those 43" 4k monitors now? you might need a bigger desk though. wait. scrap that. while you're at it, get a bigger house so you're safe for the next few years.
