kiki34948355d@SidTheITGuy one million seconds is 11 days. One billion seconds is 31 years. If you spend a second with each person, you would need at least 248 years to run out of people.
Spend more time meeting new people, my man. It pays off. -
Tonnoman622355dI mean, if you're always the one dm'ing, yes. But you want to avoid a situation where both people are waiting for the other

Hazarth9484355ddifferent people need and get different amounts of interaction. Just because you want to talk daily for example, doesn't mean they want that, and either you, or someone else is probably filling their desires already. So it's not really about whether you're always the first one to write. It's more about how they behave once they write them. If they are happy to talk to you once you write them and you have a good time, then it's a fine relationship despite them not being the one to engage. There's at least 3-4 factors that play a role here that I can think of from the top of my head for why someone wouldn't be the one initiating without it being a sign of anything.
So really, don't ask yourself why they don't DM you first. Ask yourself how you feel once you are in discussion with them already. That's how you can begin to sense what kind of relationship it is. -
DamoMac605355dI just reconnected with my childhood best friend. He moved to the other side of the world and it was difficult to keep in touch. We briefly managed to pick things up again about 12 years ago, but things fell off for the same reason.
Out of the blue he messaged me a couple of weeks ago and it turns out that neither of us have reached out because we were thinking the same thing - has it been too long? Have they moved on? We picked up exactly where we left off and it's like nothing ever changed.
If you feel guilty about not dming someone for too long and you miss them, ask yourself why don't they dm you? it should work both ways.
